I use to be in a band, and it lasted for 6 years. Recently one of the members of my band decided he didn't want to do it anymore, and move forward with his life. Well the rest of my band followed and now my band is more or less on the verge of breaking up. This band became a HUGE part of my life and it is upsetting that everyone else can just walk away. I'm left here wishing for the past and cherishing the songs we did together as sad memories now. I invested so much of myself into the band. How do I get over wishing for the past and stop focusing so much on it? It was my life. I imagine it is the same feeling a college football player gets after he played his last organized game for college and then it is all over. How do I get over this feeling and move forward?

Remember the line from this old song: "A fool will lose tomorrow looking back at yesterday"
