Only one time did Superman get beat, it was a few years ago when he was going after a "Big Mac" someone had accidentally dropped and hadn't noticed. Superman was moving at Mach 3, drooling to get that burger. When bammm out of nowhere your fat azz MOM gave him a hip check, picked up the Big Mac out of the gutter and downed that sucker in one bite. Witnesses said they never seen anyone move that fast. She musta been hungry.

Faster than a speeding bullet.

Considering the most popular type of bullet nowadays is a 9mm which travel at 1,020 fps (feet per second) I would say Superman can run a mile in about 5 seconds (5280 feet) but supposedly, Flash is still faster so you might want to see how fast Flash can run then figure that Superman is somewhere between that and the bullet.

How Fast Can Superman Fly

Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superman! Yes, it’s Superman, a strange visitor from another planet who came to earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Superman, who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel with his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent, a mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way.

But how fast can he run? Faster than me, that's for sure!

I guess maybe he can both fly and run faster than a speeding bullet.

So how fast does a bullet speed? I guess it depends on the gun, right?

Um... I don't know for certain... But I can give you some half-assed estimation.

Superman and Captain Marvel are about even on all statistics. So we'll say that their running speeds are close enough to call equal.

Black Adam is Captain Marvel's equal, although he is stronger, whereas Captain Marvel is faster.

Black Adam has a top running speed of around 500,000fps (Mach 500), according to Geoff Johns and David S. Goyer (JSA Book 3: The Return of Hawkman).

Superman is a little bit faster than that on foot. So... in my own worth-less-than-crap opinion, I'd guess somewhere around 580,000fps or thereabouts.

Maximum Speed: 60,000 mph (flight – atmosphere), 300,000,000 mph (flight – space, about half the speed of light), 30,000 mph (running)

These are the best guess-timates (based on the url above) but always subject to change. There isn't alot in the way of superman running, but I would guess that he's faster than the 30k mph figure... much faster.

If i were to put it into some sort of speed like miles per hour... I'd guess somehwere between Mach 2 (1540 mph) and Mach 3 (2310 mph); Much slower then his maximum flight speed (which is as fast as half the speed of light [about 93,000 mps]...

The Flash estimated Superman's running speed to be about 2000 miles/sec. -> 7,200,000mph running.
(flying is faster, and flying in space is even faster.)

The Flash goes faster than the speed of light ----> greater than 670,616,629mph.

thats like standing still and getting past by a car going 100mph
