I'm a 13 year old female, 4' 11 1/2" and I weigh 70 pounds. I set up a "Rewards System", for every 5 pounds I gain, I buy myself something exspensive(it takes about 4 months for me to gain 5 pounds.)

I eat a lot, but I have a fast metabolis that I inheirited from my parents. I exercise about the normal amount because I'm trying to build more muscle because muscle builds body mass. I also am a dancer and a cheerleader, which is a lot of energy, and I'm pretty active in gym class.

i have a similar problem.

try eating heavy carbs late (just before sleeping) and yea i know this sounds unhealthy but to hell with that, eat lots of fried foods and junk food with high caloric levels. For example chocolate comes in various strengths in terms of how many calories they contain per bar and if they cost the same u should go for the ones with the most calories. That is what I aim to do myself

You are a growing teenager and ur body uses up too many calories during this time and that is why u fond it hard to gain weight.

Good luck

Eat well, don't be tempted to eat too much junk. A slow and steady weight gain is the best. Your rewards system is good but you need to be nice to yourself more often than every 4 months: take a nice warm bath, go walking some nice place, pamper yourself.

That is thin!

Try eating more protien: You want to add muscle but not too much fat. Drinking milk is good, and so is eating seconds if you have the room. You might consider keeping energy bars for between-meal snacks.

Good luck!

well, i'd say being lean is not such a big problem at all. its easy to get fat but it'll take a lot of time to shed it. well, if u just wanna gain a bit of flesh, go for potatoes, treat urself twice a week with "lays". add a bit of cakes and sweets in ur diet on a weekly basis. drink milk which has a higher fat content. but do exercise regularly, else u'll bloat up.

build up your mucles buy doing toning exercises. You can do them at home and dont have to go to the gym. remember muscle weighs more than fat! and looks nicer too.

Just give it time and you will gain weight. Once you get older it will just happen most likely.
