I have known 17 years olds who married with their parents consent, but you'd have to check in your area. Call the courthouse and ask about getting a marriage license. The people in that office can probably answer your question. If your little sister is not pregnant then you really should encourage her to wait until she finishes high school. If she is worried that the relationship won't last that long then she shouldn't be getting married any way.

First, get your sister on Birth Control pills --- her hormones are controlling her little brain. Secondly, no, it is not legal.... she has to be 18. And thirdly, who she likes at 15, ain't gonna be the same guy she likes at 20. Have her read some of these questions on here..... " I loved him so much he loved me, we were sooo in love. Then we had this baby, and it keeps us up every night 3 or 4 times, and he can't stand the crying, and he is gone all the time, and now I have found out he has a girl friend.... I have no money and no education, and can't get away, and I have no home. yadayadayadayada.. what do I do????" Oh, good. Your sister is a child... tell her to grow up before she makes a decision like marriage.....

And have her read the question four above this one---- this lady has two kids, and now the guy wants to bail.... good.... is this what she wants? and this lady had 3 or 4 years on your little sister....

If they are so hung up on Marriage what is the hurt of waiting until they are consenting adults???? 15 and 16 years old they are not old enough to take on that type of responsibility. They need to wait. They have their whole life ahead of them.

Well in Ny, the parental consent means that both sets of parents (since they are both under 18) need to sign documents agreeing that the kids can get married.
the age of consent may be different in your state.
Talk to your mom and dad.

It sounds like they are letting their hormones really get the best of them. marriage is a lifelong commitment that 15 yr. old's cannot make.
