"Normal vaginal discharge during pregnancy called leukorrhea is thin, white, milky and mild smelling. Leukorrhea is normal and nothing for you to worry about.

During pregnancy do not:

* Use tampons (they can introduce new germs into the vagina)
* Douche (this can interrupt the normal balance and lead to a vaginal infection)
* Assume that it is a vaginal infection and treat it yourself

During pregnancy do:

* Use panty liners if it makes you more comfortable
* Notify your health care provider at your appointment of any changes"

An increase in discharge is completely normal in pregnancy. With my second pregnancy, I had more and had to wear a pantyliner everyday. There isn't anything you can do to stop it unfortunately.

Just be aware. If any of the discharge has an odor, call your doctor. Especially if the odor is sweet smelling, that could be amniotic fluid.

Good luck!!

You can't lessen the discharge, but it is normal for pregnancy. Mine didn't start to get really heavy until my third trimester, use pantiliners and you'll be alright.
Discharge is so much during pregnancy because all your body fluids have increased-your blood, saliva, and mucous. That's why you'll be stuffy and probably a bit drooly as time goes on.
Good luck!

I had alot of discharge when I was pregnant.
Just wear a pad/pantyliner, and change it frequently.

I later found out I was leaking amniotic fluid, and that was some of the discharge.

Double check with the doctor, but I was told NOT to douche.
