try the following things
1. sour cherry juice about one oz of the concentrate a day. (my doctor recommended this).
2. tumeric (wild crafted/or organic) 3-5 times a day
3. yucca -3 5 times a day (these are antiinflamitory and antiarthritic herbs)
4. raw apple cider vinegar 2 fingers width in a glass with tbs of raw honey--drink throughout day or at each meal..(excellent arthritis remedy..I started getting gout in my toe so I know how excruciatingly painfui it is..I took yucca for a while and tumeric and haven't had an attack in a year but I would recommend this more comprehenssive approach I listed.
also eat cherries of all types and drink cherry juice in addition and watch the diet for foods that aggravate gout.
see this site below which in addition to foods to aiod recommends dark berries (blueberries/blackberries/raspberries. etc) and tofu instead of meats or to sub for some meats.

Wife and I have it. We eat 8 dried cherries each day and drink 1 ounce of apple vinegar. We also drink 4-6 ounces of orange juice or 8 ounces of lemonade.
When we are having attacks or feel as if we are having one come on (and you can tell) we don't eat peas, dried beans, beets, or lentils.
The prescription drug which we do not take as we are not crazy about taking another drug that once started can't be stopped is Allopurinol.

Stop drinking alcohol. Stop eating fatty foods. The gout should clear up itself if you haven't done too much damage to your body with your bad drinking & eating habits. Best of luck to you.

Sure, let me get my magic wand...
Gosh, if there was a magic way to cure gout in 12 hours, don't you think we'd prescribe it for all gout sufferers?
How about seeing a doctor and taking the prescribed medications for gout? It's a metabolic imbalance (too much uric acid) and if you don't control it, you're going to suffer.

Sorry to tell you....No!. I work for a speacialist that treats this and you have to find out what is causing it. Usually crystals found in your liver that are over-produced. You will have to have your blood drawn and sent to lab for evaluation. You should go to your primary dr to put you on a pill that you take daily to prevent attack. You can go to dr and have them use a cortisone injection that will take the pain away 1,2,3. I know it is painful....husband suffers from this also. Stay away from liquor......!
