Click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop. Then right click on the C drive in the menu that you see. Then click on "Properties". That gives you a chart of how much free disc space you have.

Appreciate. That's how you spell appreciate.

on your desktop double click (left) the My Computer icon. Locate your hard drive icon, usually called disk C. Right click this icon. A list appears, go down the list and click on properties.

Double click on "My Computer" icon (it should be on your desktop), then select your hard drive, the details section of the left pane should show you the storage capacity available and the total capacity of the drive. The amount used is just the difference between those two.

Open my computer.

Right click on Local Disc (C:)

Left click properties.

Do the same for any other 'local disk' drives you see.

If you mean gigabytes as in RAM though, press alt+crtl+delete and open task manager. Than click on the performance TAB.

Hope this helps!

Click on My Computer, found on your desktop.

Click on the hard drive that you want to know about, usually your primary drive is the "C" drive.

It should show you then the capacity... if not, right click, and hit properties. There you go!
