Why on earth would you want to have light skin? Dark skin is beautiful, and the products that will make it lighter may not be good for you.

Nothing will change the colour of your skin (unless you go and spend a lot of money like Michael Jackson did). You're fine the way you are, whatever colour skin you have. Don't let others influence you, accept yourself as you are or you're going to have a pretty unhappy life.
Good luck.

If youre serious about it, then go to a beauty supply store and ask a professional there. I don't know where you are from, but where I am, in Toronto, I saw skin lightening creams in the beauty supply store, which sells hair and skin products selling it.

Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon that hosts Discovery's "Plastic surgery before and after" has a line of skin lighteners, but its for people of color.. so if you are white I dont know if you should use it. They carry it at walgreens.

Do you really want to, or do you feel pressured by others to do so? Don't do it for pressure; be proud of who you are, and part of that is your skin color.
