My belief is that they are on and the same, other than that, there is only 1

Zero = can not be obtained you must go forever in one direction

Infinity = can not be obtained you must go forever in one direction

The only different between the two is your perspective on which way you think you are going

If you define zero as nothing, then zero cannot exist. If you search for nothing and find it, then you have found something and your zero becomes more than zero. By the same reasoning, you cannot find infinity because once you have found it, you have found a finite point. Infinity will elude you like the end of a rainbow.

However, I cannot conceptualize that zero and infinity are the same. One is nothing and the other is more than something.

If you define zero as off, then there is only on. Infinity cannot exist in an "on" state because that would violate the laws of the conservation of energy. Infinity could exist in an off state so if you are defining on and off, infinity would equal off.

Two things cannot be both one, and the same at the same time, since "same" is a comparison of two things.

If I tell you I have Zero cornflakes in my cereal bowl, and I tell you that I have Infinity cornflakes in my cereal bowl, I am certainly telling you two different things. Therefore, your belief that they are "one and the same" is wrong now on two levels.

From a scientific standpoint, zero does not "exist", since it has no properties and is not observable.

You are making a philosophical argument, existential in fact. When you state that zero and infinity are the same, I think you are claiming that both have equivalently valid "existence" if they exist only in our mind as mental constructs. Reality, in that context, is whatever is perceived and in a solipsist twist is entirely rooted in your primary assertion that You exist.

Let's not confuse philsophy and mathematics. They each have their place in our human existence.

Zero and infinity are both mathematical concepts.

They are not the same. They are opposites. Like empty and full.

To be infinite means to have no boundary or edge.

Zero is the absence of something. Like, Yes, we have no bananas.

Zero is absolute emptiness, the lack of something to count.
Infinite is the overabundance of things to count, when the amount of things to count are beyond any number possibly imagined by mankind.

When counting something, you could say that zero is the lack of a beginning... and infinite is the lack of an end.

They are not one and the same.

Zero is a concept of nothing, void, zip, nil, nada

Infinity is a concept of everything+1, which is very difficult for anyone to grasp just how impossibly large the number is. Infinity is forever.

They are as opposite any one can imagine.

Zero and Infinity are mathematical extremities and part of mathematical world. We have to accept both as very much existing.

zero and infinity are relative terms and may vary according to reference .
so you cannot define it generally

they may be the same in some forms of geometry....they are clearly not the same in others.

in the end, it is irrelevant - they (along with all numbers) are simply conceptual placeholders that help us solve equations and inequalities....
