the reason i ask is im going to buy a samsung HDTV and its like 600 bucks and i dont want to waste my money on it if the 360 doesnt look any different

yeah! I have a HD TV and it's very clear, when you get the $400 X-box 360 you get two cords, one for a HD TV and another for a regular TV. On my HD TV I'm just using the regular cords and the graphics are perfect!!!! I would use the HD TV cords but my HDTV is on a wall mount so we need to take it down soon to put the cords in the back, then re-mount it. There is a switch on the cords two where you switch it from HD mode to regular mode. You won't see anything on the TV screen if it's on HD mode and your using the regular cords. Or vise-versa.

Yes. The picture quality will looks cleaner, better color levels, and enhanced audio.

Depends on the game, if it's an HD game it will, otherwise no.
