I'd say once a day, and only a light sprinkle depending on how many fish you have.
We have quite a large tank in our living room with various fish in such as Silver Dollars, Silver Sharks, Clown Loach, and Gourami's. As soon as the food goes in they all go wild! And there is never a trace left. We usually add some dried bloodworms as a treat.
Avoid over feeding. And remove any uneaten food.
Don't listen to the stupid advice of feeding 1 flake per fish, this doesn't work.

I've only recently found out that my boyfriend has been feeding our fish when he gets home from work and sometimes again in the evening but I thought it was just me feeding them. We've had them a year now and they always eat what they are given. I was told to give them 2 flakes each once a day but they get loads more! Hasn't done them any harm and they still feed off of the bottom of the tank. Greedy little fish!!!

The directions on the food containers always say 2 to 3 times a day, if you do that for a while you`l raise the ammonia level and kill the fish, I know iv been there, Once a day is fine ,

I feed mine once a day and not too much, but it depends on what kind of fish you have. If you search the web you should be able to find many websites with relevant info.
