As I know the unit of stopping power ( dE/dx) is [Mev/cm], but the unit of power is [J/s] ... How come???
I want to know if it is correct to say stopping power or stopping force??

The power in "stopping power" is not a true power (energy/time). It means the power to stop, and its units are Energy/distance. It is how much energy is dissipated when an energetic particles travels a unit length in a material. Since this is used for energetic particles, it is more convenienct to use MeV than J for the units.

I guess you could call it a stopping force, but just like it is not a true power, it is also not a true force.
