How do I repair uploading a personal picture that I have in "my pictures" that I would like to use as a dsiplay picture in my Im...page on my "windows live" messenger?
This was working before New Years ..I seem to have lost some thread or capability to upload and change my display picture..continues to say that I have selected an invalid file???

Something that may work for you is reinstalling messenger comepletely making sure that the pictures you have are saved on somewhere else other than that picture folder,another thing to think about is the size of the picture,if its too big some websites or programs wont allow it becuz of its size, also it should b a compatible picture extension, suchas .jpeg etc. , you may even want to restart your computer but im not sure if that will help as much. restarting may help and may not who knows just try these and tell me if they work for you. i might b able to help more.
