I personally don't wear or eat animals. It seems a shame for others to suffer so I can have luxuries. I don't need them, so why kill for them. What others do is up to them.
ps. God also said that we were on this earth to serve Him, but you don't see him skinning and eating us. A husband and wife are supposed to serve each other, but they don't wear each other's skin around.

I'm not opposed to leather, since the animal is going to be killed anyway, might as well get as much use out of it as possible. Also, Leather coats and boots are VERY durable; I have a leather jacket that's about 10 years old and it's still in great shape.
As for fur, it's not quite as logical, most animals which are killed for fur don't get used for anything else. If people wore cow-fur coats it would be a little different.

I grew up on a ranch - and of course I eat beef. So I might as well use the rest of the animal and wear the leather boots too.
Farm animals are grown for their usability by humans. I do not support overhunting wild populations, or rare and endangered species that are already stressed by use of thier environment by humans.

I'm opposed to real fur...I don't mind leather THAT much, because at least the cow in question will most likely be used for meat as well as their hide. But I can't stand leather sofas....why sit on a dead cow?

REAL is expensive and that's why i go for the FAKE ones.
and as for the fur coats, i'm not with the whole killing the animals just for their fur.

I dont wear real (or fake) fur or leather. I dont like the idea of useing animal skins and furs because i feel its vulgar and disresepctful to the animal that died, like, "Hey! Look at me! I like shooting animals and putting them on display!!!" I sooo hate that!!!
