Carbhydrase is an enzyme that breaks down carbohydrate. Enzyme are proteins and therefore could be either a powder or the powder could be disolved in a solvent like water to make it a liquid. Most enzymes used biologically eg in research are used in this form as they distribute more easily throughout a solution of substate and it is much easier to determine there concentration.
