Toothpaste. I know this works for CDs, so I figure it'll work for DVDs and games too.

First, get a tube of plain toothpaste, not tartar control or whitening or anything. It has to be plain gel without anything else in it. Then, run cold water over the disc to get any dirt or dust off of the disc, make sure you don't touch the disk while you are doing this.
Then, apply toothpaste all over the center of the disk. After applying the toothpaste, carefully spread it over the entire surface using a paper towel. Start at the center of the disc and work your way to the edge; don't make a circular motion. After the entire disc is covered, rinse all the toothpaste off and see if it works.

If you learn to take care of them, you wouldn't have to be removing scratches..
