Do I need a memory card for my new phone?

it's a A900M Sprint phone, the only reason i ask is because it only lets me download like 6 songs off my computer, they are all Mp3 format too... i dont know if that has anything to do with it?

The A900 Samsung phone does NOT have removeable memory so you are limited to the phone's internal memory. Delete any pictures or videos you do not need to make memory available. Sprint Photo mail stores your pics online so you don't need to save them to memory.

If you don't see a slot for a memory card then it probably has internal memory. That would mean that it's limited so you may not be able to download w hole lot.
