I agree wholeheartedly; there should be. I've put the idea forth to the moderators and the one who answered pretty much blew me off. Another friend of mine did as well. I highly suggest you join us in making some noise; it's the only way anything will change. Go here:

http://messages.answers.yahoo.com/answers/forumview?bn=SEA-YahooAnswers

And post in the ideas and suggestions forum. Be polite, be respectful, but be firm. Make sure to state why you think it's important to have one.

Good luck!

I've have seen this question asked many times since I joined Yahoo answers, and as of yet I haven't heard a valid reason as to why there shouldn't be a men's studies section.

He aslo started a Men's day. at Oakton College Men's Day" features more than 20 workshops and seminars dealing with emotional and spiritual pain, shamanism, communication, and meditation It's great question btw and very apropo

Until yahoo actually deigns to give men a section, it would appear that the women's studies section is the section where men's studies questions can be answered best.

Naturally the feminasties in here wish to remain completely oblivious to and quash any alternate viewpoints, but that's their problem if they claim to be about equality.

To maggie:

How can you say the whole forum is a men's section? As far as I'm aware the section on physcology is for both sexes, since both men and women have brains. The section on economics is for both sexes because both genders can study and use money.
Try not to make things up, it midleads people.

And to levade, please don't be sexist, I personally don't believe in the word stud and use the word 'whore' to refer to my male friends all the time.

Ever heard the phrase 'men are pigs'??
A friend of mine has it on her car sticker, yes, believe it or not, sexism goes both ways.

Men's studies is a great idea, get a section!

Society views women as requiring protection and catering to. Every male "privilege" such as a male-only school, food club, gym, social club is seen as a threat to women but parallel structures for women are considered necessary for women's fragile self-esteem.

Snore.

I don't think the world would end if there were a men's section but it would probably get vandalized and ridiculed.

Women are much more complicated than men and thus have a section. Men's section can be summed up with one word, SEX. Our section would be short and sweet.

"Men's Studies"? What would you talk about that isn't already a subject on Yahoo! Answers? I'm curious.

remember that until the 1960"s or so everything was about men even
the study of the heart, they had no idea women suffer as
many heartattack and many other things.

Oh, you don't like double standards? Well, next time you call a woman a slut and the man she shagged a stud you can remember that women face more double standards than you can choke down. Boo hoo. Poor baby.
