I have been bit several times by little black ants in my house and everytime I get bit I have a sore from where they broke the skin. I have used Protien and sweet baits. Both recomended baits and neither of them work! A microwave does not even kill them. What can I use?

You need to determine what kind of ant you are dealing with. Sweet ants do not bite so sweet baits may not be affective with them.

After figuring out what kind of ant you have, you may be able to customize the bait you use. I like to spread a 4-foot barrier around the house several time a year.

If they are in the house, you need to get them to track the bait back to the nest.

I am not sure why you are using a microwave....but....
The first step to getting rid of ants is to remove what makes your living space so attractive. Make sure all food is tightly covered and stored away--especially products with sugars.
Next, find the source of their entry. if it is a crack in the wall or under your door, then try to seal the area. Putting a line of cyan pepper around the entryways to your house and burning honeydew melon candles (they hate the smell) helps, too.
Other than an exterminator, their are several ways to take care of the source.
Sprays and insecticide powder such as Seven Dust work hard to eliminate common pests in your yard.
If you want to use a more environmentally friendly form of extermination, dig up a little of one ant hill and introduce it to another. Ants are very territorial.
Remember that when it starts to rain outside, they are more likely to try to enter your home.
Good luck!

i have successfully used "combat"bait traps . not sure where you are, but maybe you could do a search on them and order them, i find them at the local home depot or walmart stores. they sound like sugar ants, so you can spray counters down with a bleach solution, to eliminate some of the attraction..i know there is a natural solution, i think it may be baking soda. do a search on that too.
good luck

A wolf sees a wounded bull. It can't take it down on it's own, but if it waits for the pack the bull will get away. So it calls to the pack while taunting the bull to slow its escape. The pack see other bulls in a horde, including very young easy prey, across the horizon, and not the one the lone wolf is taunting, but the calls are insistent for help with the promise of food, so the pack leave the horde that may have killed them, to help their brother with a smaller, harder meal.
You can't kill them all, but If you control their source of food you control their travel patterns and even where they choose to put their home. Happy hunting!

Time to call an expert exterminator! Ants are hard to get rid of especially these type. Take care of this problem before it gets really out of hand and expensive! Good luck!
