I installed my own Windows XP not the recovery disk. I have all the drivers but its not working.

I did everything you all have said.. Im a PC technician also but none of it is working. My last resort is to call HP but I kno that will no help at all.

Google a thank you to place in hp drivers and setting up the sound motive force If this wont artwork then i might disassembled the computer and unplug the audio device and plug them lower back on if that did not artwork that's the sound card it fairly is build interior the motherboard and can fee better than the computer to repair

Go to device manager and make sure your sound driver is functioning properly.. Make sure sound is not muted and reinstall the soundcard/integrated sound drivers..

Laptops sometimes have their own seperate "mute" function aside from the one included in windows. See if your laptop has one and if its switched on or not.

go to the control panel ans click on the icon that says sound and audio devices, and then click on update driver, and my may want to select configure devices.
