I don't ask form bigotry, I just am curious because in spite of the religio-political focus so prevalent today, I have not heard this information. I am very impressed with Obama and think he could be the first of his race to serve as chief executive.

That last answer was off the mark. I didn't say his religion had nothing to do with him, I just said I was curious.

Why should it matter.
A persons religious affiliation has nothing to do with the person.

Or are you just a bigot who would not vote for this person based on his religion?

A person's religion has nothing to do with that person....officially takes first prize as the absolute stupidest thing I have ever heard or read.

If you actually PRACTICE your religion, then it has EVERYTHING to do with virtually every area of your life.

It is amazing to me how quickly mental midgets throw out the words bigot and racist and homophobe. These are knee jerk words, taught in liberal brainwashing sessions.

If the man was white and in the Klan...you'd want to know. If the man was Italian, and in the mafia, you'd want to know. If the man is a Catholic, or Baptist, or Muslim...why wouldn't you want to know? It is not possible to seperate deeply held personal beliefs from the way you conduct yourself and the way you vote, if you are actually a person of conscience. Of course his religious affiliation has importance.

You may be saying "You're comparing Catholics...to the Klan and the mafia?" Well, no. Catholics throughout history, have killed way more people than the Klan and the mafia have. In the name of The Lord. So, there is no comparison. But for the record, the vast majority of mafia members are also Catholic, and most Klansmen consider themselves good Protestant Christians.
