time and time again that it in fact WILL negotiate with them, especially when it comes to retrieving kidnapped soldiers?

Please note that I am NOT criticizing them for negotiating... I'm only asking what policy goal is advanced by insisting that they don't negotiate when the assertion is so obviously untrue? Do they think the world doesn't notice, or remember?

It is the first step in negotiation. Soldiers are taken and people want to see what they can get for them. First answer is 'nothing--we can't make hostage taking pay off.' Plus it sounds good in a sound byte. As far as the world not noticing or remembering--that is exactly right. While many people will notice, many people won't know how things turned out--people lose interest in stories of bad things in far away places quickly.

The Israeli government is all about deception. Now, such secrecy has infiltrated the U.S. government, and in partnership with Israeli's Mossad, 9/11 was orchestrated in the interests of both countries and both are off and running in Israel's goal of diminishing the Muslims and America's goal of world domination. Why not, who's going to stop them???

They are not negotiating with the terrorists. That is if you consider that only Hamas and Islamic Jihad are the terrorists.

If you understand that the Holocaust denier Mahmoud Abbas ("Abu Mazen") is a terrorist, then you may have a point.

You have to remember.... that Israel is always right. If you do that, you will be just fine. What a great idea it was to create a jewish state in the middle of arab states, if it wasn't so tragic, it would be funny as *****!

it is an ideal they are committed to -- but you cannot stupidly cling to an ideal when circumstances dictate that an exception must be made
