George - if your sprog looks anything like Zippy, I want it please!
On a serious note.. IVF gives a lot of people a chance to have kids.. those that just need a little help, and I see nothing wrong with that. I'd adopt though if I couldn't conceive, there are plenty of kids in the world who need looking after and adopting seems to be fashionable too, lol..

What a lot of people don't know is that IVF allows the freezing of embryos' and there can end up being a court battle over these embryos. As much as society agrees with abortion why not try to find a way to remove a "fetus" unharmed and place it into some one waiting for IVF treatment. Sound sick, why not we are into freezing baby's and or killing them. Obviously an aborted baby is not wanted so why not give it to someone that wants one,not to mention the benefits, you would not have to carry a baby full term!
This sounds really sick don't it but then again so is IVF and abortion but our stomachs don't turn when we think of them.

The only way your argument works (that only the unfit are infertile) would be if you could prove that people who conceive naturally are obviously superior and always produce superior offspring. Anyone who has been to a Walmart on a Saturday, or to a county health office, or to your family reunion--sorry, I couldn't resist-- can see this obviously isn't true.
Post it on Pregnancy and Parenting if you wish. All boards get a certain percentage of ridiculous questions.

I think it gives people who want kids but have health issues a shot at having the babies that they really want. There are plenty of people who should never have been allowed to have kids but to deny them to people who really want them seems wrong. I'm not a big fan of the way science has to get into everything, including creating life but some of those people want kids so badly, I think they should have a shot.

Following that logic why vaccinate? Weed out those who couldn't survive without being inoculated against deadly diseases. How far would you like to take that thread? I think if someone wants to go through invasive fertility treatments that is their perogative. Everyone lives their life as they see fit as long as they aren't hurting anyone.

I can feel a violation but here goes. If you take a real close look at some of the ones that can do it naturally you would not say that
