The truth is, what is morally correct.
The view of morality is subjective not objective and the liberals and conservatives see things differently.
In the US the morality as seen by the right is a much more violent and uncaring morality than the liberal view. Because they cannot both be correct the answer should be somewhere in the middle ground.
In the last few years the right(conservatives) controlled the houses of government and they refused to listen to the left(liberals)
It was because they refused to consult and to give ground to anything but their view, the US now finds itself disliked by most countries and peoples of the world.
The US has amassed a debt load that will create monetary hardships for it's citizens for generations to come.
The good news is the American populace has taken the power of the 'right' way in the November elections and there is a hope in the US now, that if things are handled in a less aggressive and more compassionate manner the US may regain some of the prestige it has lost. The debt will not go away until you the taxpayer covers it.
You can expect taxes to go up and it won't be the fault of the government that raises them...it will be the fault of the conservative government that created the borrowing to finance the wars and oil companies and big business in the US.

Be more specific. I do not agree that the truth leans right, I believe the truth always leans left.
It's called cognitive dissonance.

Funny you would think that, after all it is exactly the opposite. Wait a minute, it's your opinions that lean to the right, the truth doesn't display a political agenda.

most truths are just opinions.. but if there is a real "truth" it's probably a moderate view.. so anyone who is "extreme" would see it as leaning one way or another.

Truth doesn't lean either way. It's the perception of truth that is manipulated.

I think conservatism gets closer to "the Truth" more often because conservatism tends to rely heavily on already-proven "facts", while "progressive" thought tends to focus on what is still theoretical. Progressives call themselves "progessive" because they believe they make p"progress" by so doing. Conservatives call themselves" conservatiove" because they see themselves as "conserving" that which history has shown to be valuable. So conservatism has more of a chance of being right, more of the time.
