Great way of putting it. I think I was the only one who predicted that USC would 'TROUNCE' Michigan.
Boise St had more of an argument to face Ohio St.
Notice that Boise st's colors are Orange and Blue? :-)
Notice there's still CRYING after the LOSS? Can't ever tip your hat to another team? Adam, Even if Florida wins you still won't care?! This is why comments like yours are completely meaningless. It doesn't matter what happens, you will just state your completely biased opinion, and if it doesn't go your way you will cry....and cry loud you do.
Adam, you state, "That's why you play the game..." and then state this game was meaningless?? You make no sense. Do you hear how sorry you sound? Michigan had every reason and so much to prove because you got left out of the big dance. Boise State was left out and look at their statement last night. Michigan was left out and we all saw that statement. I agree with a playoff, but when was the last time Michigan WON a bowlgame?

Gee, Karl got a night's sleep and he's still writing excuses for Michigan.
Seems like only one team didn't want to be in the Rose Bowl and win it, or at least didn't show on the field that they were worth anything, which is Lloyd Carr's fault. USC came to win, whether Michigan did or not, and smacked the crap out of the Wolverines.
If Michigan didn't want to be there, they should have declined the invitation and let Wisconsin go to the Rose Bowl. At least the Badgers would have shown up to play.

I'm going to make my prediction for next year right now...if..and thats a big IF...Brian Brohm comes back next year and Michael Bush takes a medical redshirt season, Louisville will win the national championship

Have you ever heard the Term Any given Sunday?? I still beleive Michigan is the second most talented team in the nation, however, they are not 5 levels above florida or anything, just slightly...This is is exactly why we need a playoff, in my opinion there are at least 6 teams who deserve a shot, Florida, Ohio State, USC, Michigan, Boise St, Wisconsin, LSU and Oklahoma. I guess thats 8 not 6, plus i think that the Big East Champ should have had a shot, I cant remember who it is, but between Lousiville Rutgers and WVU that was a pretty tough conference to win this year. This is why we need a playoff, Even if Florida wins the championship I still wont care, Ohio State is THE best team in the nation, but thats why they play the games, momentum, determination, those play a big factor. PLAYOFFS, if this year doesnt prove it, then I dont know what will
an after thought, Arkansas deserved a chance too
Also a good point, neither one of them really cares about winning the game

Michigan didn't win their conference how can they complain. The conference champ game is a killer for the loser. But is Michigan saying UF should not benefit from winning a conference championship game and the SEC. Had Michigan won their conference they would have been there.

Lloyd Carr seems to hate Bowl games. How could you have a team that played Ohio State so well...then just flop?
Obviously Lloyd does a great job with the program, but it doesn't look like they're ever going to get any trophies with him. Still, Chad Henne and Mike Hart will be back next year, so there's hope for Michigan.
But yeah, that was a huge blow to their "we deserve to be in the championship game" cries.

Michigan had nothing to play for and showed no emotion whatsoever which caused them to come out flat. Neither of these teams wanted to be in this game anyway so what does it even matter.
