Only if there are enough votes in the U.S. House of Representatives. They are the sole entity that can impeach the President, and it only takes a simple majority. But, as I'm sure everyone knows, this does not remove him from office. It is nothing more than an indictment. After the President is impeached, he stands trial in the U.S. Senate, where it takes a 2/3 majority vote to remove him from office.

So to answer your question, yes he can be impeached. But the real question should be WILL he be impeached. The answer to this question will be NO. Even though the Democrats will have a majority in the House, they will not impeach Bush. They know there is not enough votes in the Senate to convict, and it would be nothing but a waste of time.

Impeachment on the federal level is simply the first step toward removal from office. In regard to the president, it can only be for "high crimes or misdemeanors".
The procedure is in two steps: 1) the House must first pass the articles of impeachment. These are the allegations. If the majority agree with the charges, the accused is "impeached" but that does not mean "guilty". 2) The case then goes to the Senate where it takes 2/3 majority to convict the accused. If convicted, they are immediately removed from office and may be further punished but remain liable for criminal prosecution.

The answer to your question is: Yes, Bush, or any president can be impeached.

Why do you ask? Clinton was brought up but not carried in the senate. No president has ever been impeached merely had charged brought, and Bush is a fine president.

An illegal resource war in Iraq should be more than enough to drive the idiot from office and earn him a jail cell where he can spend the rest of his days counting the number of times his cellmate rapes him. I hold him personally responsible for the 3000 dead soldiers and the tens of thousands that have been wounded and crippled for life by being forced to make Bush's friends richer.

Since Bush is immune to impeachment....why havnt we started a war with Africa and taken all of their diamonds? Or with Columbia and taken their cocaine? Or with Cuba and made vacation resorts for ourselves? We need to tell Bush to stop thinking small time with Iraq. There are lots of other goodies out there for us Americans to take.

Can he be impeached? Any president can be impeached.

But will he be impeached? No. He has done nothing to warrant an impeachment. That would require he do something criminal, like Clinton did, or treasonous.

He's been an ethical and honest president - even if you don't agree with his decisions.

Unless giving Haliburnt a nobid contract is an impeachable act he has not commited any acts that would cause he to be impeached.
