Phoebe was a one trick pony, and she became irritating. I think Rachel's character developed and changed the most during complete run of Friends. She was quite selfish and trivial to begin with, but gradually became sympathetic and more empathic than the other girls. Monica was always the same, very petty and dull.
I think Jennifer Aniston did the most with the character she was given, and of all the women she has the likeability factor

chandler is my favourite. then joey, ross and phoebe. i dont know why rachel is so popular. she's really annoying on the show - maybe guys all fancy her or something?
