How can you separate his record from his temper, his personality and his messed up attitude. You look at the whole person.

HIS BEHAVIOR IS CONTRADICTORY TO WHAT IS TRYNG TO TEACH.

ANYONE JUSTIFYING OR TRYING TO EXCUSE HIS BEHAVIOR IS A HYPOCRITE.

ANY REASONABLE PERSON SHOULD SEE THIS.

I will never defend his temper, when he loses his temper, hes pathetic. However, that said, I will defend him as a coach. He has a very very high graduation rate, which says hes teaching them something right. He's the all time leader in wins, and only one player of his has even gone on to be an NBA all star, Not to take anything away from Dean Smith, I respect the man immensely, but he had 12 players go on to be NBA all stars. Granted he has a temper, but for the most part his players like him, he teaches them alot of growing up and being a real man, and he wins, what more could you want?? I think those excuse his temper most of the time

Look at what he has done on the court. He's took kids with less talent, and made them over achievers. His teams should have never won as many games as they did. But he brought them together in the way only he can, and made them great. Coach night is a great ambassodor to the sport.
