I always liked to have a pea snack like in Dubliners, and when I was a wee child I wanted to eat turkish delight after reading the Lion, the Witch and the wardrobe. Got any others?

There is a wealth of food in "The Good Soldier Svejk" by Jaroslav Hasek, so much so there is a resturant in Blatislava which only serves food described in the book.
Also, in "Gargantua and Pantagruel" by Rabelais there is food all over the place, amongst a lot more other things.

Butterbeer! From Harry Potter. This is the drink the kids are nuts about, that is apparently very slightly intoxicating. I imagine a slightly butterscotch-flavored rootbeer with a small amount of alcohol in it just to give you the "warmies".

Sounds really pleasant.

Tokaij Aszu - Beloved of Baron Munchausen, appearing in Phillip Pullman, and any other context where a wine-buff needs to appear exotic.

Its also very nice in reality, if pricey.
