When you want the government to care for you, instead of YOU caring for you, you are a communist. The point of government is not to control, and make sure that no one can expand beyond their meager livelihood, it is to insure the safety of it's people, and welcome expansion, not to limit peoples desire to achieve for more than what they have.

All those things aren't necessarily part of communism, but communist parties still exist in the USA. Besides the CPUSA, you've got the Worker's World Party, Revolutionary Communist Party, and even the Communist Worker's Party, which tried to kill Jimmy Carter in 1980. The CPUSA created the National Lawyer's Guild in 1937, and United for Peace and Justice in 2002. The WWP are Stalinists who created front groups like International ANSWER, votetoimpeach.org, "afterdowningstreet.org, the so-called "Korean Truth Commission," and others I can't think of right now, while the RCP(Maoists) has it's prized front known as the "World Can't Wait" organization, but also created the "Not In Our Name" group, that was hyped up four years ago.

One other thing, the so-called "Progressive Labor Party" is neither progressive, nor is it relevant to labor. It's merely another communist splinter party.

Listen or look for these words.
Masses
Proletariat
Exploit
Imperialist
Capitalist
People's
Workers

If someone uses two or more in a single sentence, they might be a communist. Most of them can't say anything without using at least one of these words.

There is no "free" education or medical insurance. Communists and Socialists would like for you to think so. Somebody pays. If you have a job and pay taxes, do you want to pick up the tab for someone else's health insurance? It's about 400 U.S. a month.

don't worry about it. those people are also the people who think making America stronger by providing cheaper skilled labor through educational programs is socialism, they are the mad ones.

it is just a tool of the wealthiest 1% who makes over 7 digits a year to continue paying less taxes on every dollar, than everyone else. by propogandizing the ideas of being anti-greed, as being anti-American.

but yeah i guess there are those fringe groups, who believe in anything still around. That is the price of freedom.

The American system believes that market forces allocate resources best not the State.

Any attempt to take things "away" from the private sector is viewed as anti-democratic, anti-capitalist, and anti-American.

There are many communist/socialist affiliations within the US as well as abroad, although many do not agree with the idea of communism you might think of when thinking of the Soviet Union, Cuba, etc. as they are not true forms of communism/socialism
