why didnt the taliban just hand over osama didnt they care about there muslim brothers.think about, it did they really think they were gonna defeat the might of the coalition.one man handed over and thousands of lives would of been saved.muslim and non muslim.

dolem i have an arab friend who translated a tape from the news from bin laden preysing the suicide bombers and and admitting he was resposible.my q was based on the talibans lack of respect for human life.at the end of the day one man handed over thousands of lives spared.so personally i blame the taliban.

The character on that video was not Saudi and did not speak in Saudi accent ( Osama is Saudi ) but of northern african accent , most likely to be Tunisian ( Tunis got a huge Jewish community ) , they also believe that they have alreay defeated the America/British armies in Afganistan and Iraq despite the occupier's mighty power

Osama was a guest of the Taliban and to be treated with respect, so they simply wouldn't do it. As for defeat, the Taliban are far from defeated and could wage a guerrilla war for decades killing thousands of Coalition troops and citizens.

THE THING IS THE COALITION ARE NOT WINNING THE BATTLE OF AFGHANISTAN, IF THE US REALLY WANTED TO GET THEIR HANDS ON USAMA THEN THEY COULD HAVE DONE SO AT THE START OF THE OFFENSIVE, THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN HIM.
THE RUSSIANS COULD NOT DEFEAT THEM AND THE 'COALITION' IS NOT GOING TO DEFEAT THEM.

Edit: It is not a case of being a 'coward' or a 'defeatist' as you so eloquently put it, its a case of facing up to facts. The coalition has seriously underestimated the Taliban when they embarked upon this illegal rampage in the Middle East.
To think that they will just lay down their arms and welcome the Crusader forces when they have ruled their sacred lands for thousands of years just begs belief.
Ask any soldier and he will say WTF are we doing here.
The difference is the Taliban are prepared to die for their cause....are any of the soldiers out there prepared to die to defend Afghanistan or Iraq? NO.
Don't get me wrong, if it was a British Territory which had been invaded and British nationals were dying then I'm sure that our forces would be queueing up to defend our fellow countrymen and I'm also sure that they would be prepared to die for them.
Thats the thing about history....people never learn from it.

Because they can just keep fighting the coalition forces untill the coalition get fed up of taking casualties and pull their troops out. These people can then return to power and will portray themselves as the people who defeated the might of the US. The same way as the Vietcong could not militarilly defeat the US but kept fighting untill the US tired of the conflict and went home. Iraq is in a similar situation

They are not defeted as the US and UK ARMY is still there. Why should any country given to US and UK demands anyway ? Did you know for a fact that Bin Laden was there at all anyway where's the proof ?
