They refuse to let opposing views speak. they say "free" if you agree with them.

Claiming to be a free thinker is just that, thinking with free will and not letting one entity dictate what information is retained. Free thinkers look past the rhetoric and propaganda to examine all possibilities. A "Free Thinker" has no set Party, Religion or Opinion that controls him, he's FREE to analyze any situation or subject in an objective manner that leaves all conclusions to debate.

I think it means that they are prepared to listen to someone else's point of view and then make up their own mind about whether it is right or wrong, rather than just rejecting it because society/religion/peer pressure tells them to. Dogmatic people of any persuasion, be that left-wing or right-wing, are not free thinkers. However both left and right wing people can be "free thinkers" if they are brave enough to consider the possibility that their current perceptions are incorrect.

Without care for cost or risk, purely the "feel good" i gotta do something about that,that's not fair, thing.
Look at what they've done about poverty.
Education is the path out of poverty,not everybody is capable of being a Rocket Scientist so they DUMB DOWN the education system.
The result, High School Grads , who can't balance a checkbook or pass the ASVAB test to join the military.

Not necessarily. It means they don't feel bound by the limitations of the Constitution. They also feel free to spend others' money on their pet causes.

No silly it's conservatives who "think" with their emotions. Otherwise why would they constantly call abortion "baby killing"? Why would they want the creationism myth taught in science classes? Why would they deny global warming when all the experts agree?

No it means that we aren't like conservative zombies that only think what their party wants them to think. We don't take the word of people like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter as the word of God. We are open to new ideas.
