Seriously, I can see typing "u" for "you" when your are hunting and pecking on a cell phone or trying to send a telegram and want to save money, but it doesn't take any more time to type "anything" rather than "nething" while communicating on the internet. Why do people do it?

I got a project report form one of the folks on my team written in that gibberish. He couldn't understand why it wasn't acceptable!

I think a lot of those are "cutesie" words for teens communicating with classmates--and a lot of them type so quickly it doesn't matter about the time. I think for us older people, acronyms and abbreviated spellings like LOL and BRB are quick ways to type in common phrases especially for PPL who don't type as well.

OOh Josh, I thought it was just me who hated it! I think its terrible, no wonder the youth of today have trouble with basic grammar and spelling.... I don't think its quicker either and it makes it so difficult to understand.
