I run the website www.secondhandgames.net which is selling used video games for many different systems, and I have had a good amount of sales through googles adwords program and word of mouth. No matter what i do to the site though I cannot get it to show up on internet searches like google and yahoo so would anyone know any other websites that you are able to advertise on for free or a small fee only?

myspace is free and a fantastic promotional tool as you can search for potential customers and build a raport with them, place banners on your page and on your new friends pages and the word of mouth will spread fast.
Also ebay is a good way to seel good you want to shift, open up an ebay shop!

Post a link to your site everywhere you can, but avoid spam. This will just annoy potential users.
A good idea is to inform sites such as google, yahoo, myspace, bebo and the like. Myspace also has a group feature you could utilise, by adding details for the official website and enticing them over to it.
Google generally takes a while to show up any website that isn't linked of others. A good way to solve this is to try and join a link swap program with other similar sites. Like a banner exchange, where they show your banner in return for you showing theirs. Some sites don't even require you to use their banner.
You could also put the link into signatures and such in forums you are using to let people know what's there. Make the banner/info clear and to the point, to make people want to check it out.

u know it would be easy if u were to and make a blog on Myspace and set it up about the games site then post advertisements and top videogames and polls for voting on peoples favorite games.Or u could try getting freinds together to help.
