SHould I write a newspaper article, contact the news, etc..? If I don't get help soon, I will die. I am 33 and believe it or not, am still articulate and preety. My parents used to have money years ago but my Dad did some bad business investments and now we're broke. My Mom only makes $24,000 as a Catholic school teacher and I cannot work because of my addiction as well as severe depressioin and anxiety. There are cheap treatment centers but they are mainly for street people or people that are court ordered and don't want to really be there. I want to go somewhere with people who really want to get better. I want to go somewhere comforting, serene, beautifiul with very caring staff that enjoy their jobs. I have found several places that would be perfect but they are around $14,000 a month and I'd atleast need to go 2 months I think. My Mom could probably pay atleast $5000 at the most and that'd still hurt her financially. I have been an addict for almost 20 years and (Cont'd)

You don't need to go on and on about this. You DO need to go to rehab. And it doesn't matter if you have insurance/money or not, you CAN go. You need to contact your county's Department of Social Services. They will put you in with Behavioral Health. They handle substance abuse and they WILL get you to rehab. All you have to be is a resident of that county to go. Believe me....your addiction is the cause of your depression and anxiety. Once you get off the drugs/alcohol.......that will go away, too. Until you can get there, get yourself to some meetings right away. Either NA or AA. Good luck to you.

There is hope. I know how you feel. Contact a local drug/alcohol counselor or mental health organization. There are some free ones. Rare, but often associated with hard core religion ( not so bad). Try Catholic Charities...Go to AA or Narcotics Anonymous & ask for help. IOt will materialize if you keep asking for help..Hey , you are well on your way toward being one of the " street people " & associating with them can give you some instant gratitude & can be a great deterrent. You are afflicted with an equal opportunity disease. E-mail me for more. Ps: Don't quit for life...just a day at a time. It works! Put off that drink or drug for tomorrow. Tomorrow you can begin again & put it off for another tomorrow. You CAN get clean & sober without re-hab. Write.

only with the aid of fact everybody is there does no longer mean they want to be no count number what the fee. There are human beings in those truly plush rehabs that have been compelled through their families to bypass... bypass all the way down to medicaid. stick to for suggestions... in the event that they deny you call your close by congress individual. call the papers... the information combat!!!! it somewhat is not significant the place you bypass see you later as you bypass.. The medical care is a similar. There are human beings interior the 'lesser' rehabs that like it worse than somebody living the solid life with the aid of fact they are scuffling with for their lives. it works in case you artwork it, It won't in case you do no longer, so artwork it, your worth it. and get a cut back too... in case you go through melancholy and stress, they are the reason on your ailment... the medicine are a symptom, no longer the reason. p.s. 14years sparkling and serene 2/2007

for one, why are you depending on your parents? you are 33 years old. that seems like a burden that i would not want to put on my parents. have you tried getting into a narcotics anonymous program? sounds to me like you need to take what you can get for the time being. go to the "street people" treatment center if thats what you can get. if you really want to change your life that badly, you will take what you can. i wish for you all the best in fighting your addiction, but PLEASE just try and do this on your own ( i mean without financially destroying your mother).

Go to your local courthouse dressed in rags, approach every nicely dressed person and ask for money for drugs, keep trying. when you are arrested plead guilty due to the drug addiction... tell the judge only in patient re-hab will work....simple?

have one of your close friends to have you committed by saying they fear for your safety and the state will pay for it.

you might end up in a psych ward as a side effect, though.
