I read the book!

One of the few books I've read AFTER the movie (not the other way 'round.) I like the book very much, but I think when I read it I was expecting just a pure witty love story and the book is more quirky and complicated then that. I may have just been too young to really appreciate the writing when I read it.

I have read it several times, although I haven't read it in years.

I have read it !!!!

A good book, problem was that I have seen the film so many times that it overshadowed it.

It was a bit odd when 'different' things happened.

The book I bought was an anniversary edition and had an extra story about Fezzik saving the life of Westly & Buttercup's son.

Yes, I have read it. I really enjoyed it, probably more than the film. It was very entertaining, with tongue-in-cheek comments referring to current events and trends (when it was written), even the occasional humourous political comment. One of the most interesting aspects is the author's assertion that it is an abridged version of a book by Morgenstern (?), a completely fictional author.

Seen the film a hundred times but only read the book once, and I would still have to say that the book conjours more images of a love story/adventure then any film ever.

I've got a copy of the book. I think its a toss up as to which I prefer, the book or the film. They're both great although a little different from each other.

I have - several times! I loved it, I thought it was even funnier than the film. Great story, fab characters and wonderfully well cast in the movie version.
