We have know each other for 26 yrs have 1 child together ,lived together for 14 yrs and where each other first ,we have so much history together having a real hard time letting her go any help out there

sorry did not say a few things yes i still love her and she love's me but we broke up 1.5 yrs ago and neither of has moved on but have not got back together either we did have alittle 3 month fling in the middle but short lived we talk everyday and see each other 3 times a week

sorry for your lost, you have to take it one day at a time it will get easier i promise.
since you have a child you must ..must stay on good terms with her no matter what.
maybe she just needs some space or a little time to her self..
dont sit and spend your days greiving over her! drag your self out and have some funnnnnn.meet people a girlllllll . make her want you back trust me all her love for you didnt vanish in the wind..

You never said why you are letting go! Did she die did you die or did you cheat or did she.Or maybe you just got tiered? You must be in your early forty's you can find someone to help get over her I don't have history that you do but my EX left me after i was injured in an accident and couldn't work for six mouths! She needed a man that could work and take of her Shes been gone almost four years and has a new husband!!! who drinks Lucky her!!!! Now back to you it will take a while to get over if you ever do! A song will play that you danced to and you Will remember the good times and that OK just don't let the bad overwhelm the good?I dint know what tell you right now but the hole in your heart will get smaller in time I wish you luck with this and remember this you are not the only one this has happened to!!! Is it possible to maintain a friendship? unfortunately because of so many years together, you will be comparing other woman with her for a while. You may never be able to let go. So just take it one day at a time and be the best father to your child together.

i know it sounds stupid, but a holiday or a short 'me time' might help.
you need to travel a bit to realise that there are other things and other people who will make you feel alive. the hardest thing to do is to move on when you are in the same routine.
people may say that there is only one person out there for us but i believe there are people who can touch our hearts in different ways. moving on isnt have a rebound, its about growing stronger
i realy feel for you, but trust me, have a few days solitude.. it will help you see things for what they are and it wil also help you become strong and learn to face this problem or issure head no.

Tough one. First, are you sure that is what you want. Second, do you still have any feelings. (intimate feelings?)
I would say, a little at a time. Kinda of wean yourself over a period of time may help soften the blow.
