If your starting from Jahara Village then exit the village then follow the path southeast you should see two groups of chocobos along the way when you get to the second group there should be a batch of grass to the west and you'll see the chocobo tracks.

Hop on a chocobo, either bought at the Jahara village or the one borrowed from the soldier in the sunlit path if you helped him earlier, and head into the Field of Light Winds.
The chocobo path that takes you to the Henne mines is in the southeast corner, close to the exit to the area with the save crystal.

You have to walk around the footprints surrounding the ranch and catch a chocobo by feeding it greens and killing the other monsters. You need to have the chocobo lure off choco billy. Then with the chocobo cross the marshes to the bottom of the screen. you must dismount to enter the mine.
