I spend the most time with my partner, but my best friend gets a lot of time spent with me also. But I never have to choose, my best friend is always happy for me to spend time with my partner and not her, after all although I love her to bit, its as a friend I love her, not as a lover! And so me and her both understand that the other has to have plenty of time to spend with their respective partner, after all you are likely to spend the majority of your life with your partner so you need to put the first! Family comes next and then friends after them, its how things work, it should never be the other way around!

My partner is more important and I spend most of my time with her. That is why she is my partner.....I love being with her. I also spend time with friends and she is very understanding of that.

Friends, definitely. I think my bonds with my best friends are stronger and longer-lasting than any relationship I have with a boyfriend. If my boyfriend tried to keep me from my friends, I'd dump him in a heartbeat. Partners tend to have unstable relationships, have fights and break-ups, but a friend is always there to talk to when that stuff happens. Some friends stay in communication their whole lives. And this is without marriage contracts or tax breaks- they keep in touch because they enjoy each others' company.

I spend more time with my partner as we live together but I see my friends as often as I want/need to and they know I'll drop anything to be there if they need me.

I'd balance it out. I wouldn't just choose one over the other. It's like choosing between your parents-although I guess we have done that before. Your friends have a right to be upset if you don't talk to them as much, but its the same with your partner. Try to find a common balance that will keep everyone happy. That way no one is hogging you, and everyone is happy.

i always say that you can have your partner/husband/wife but you also need your good friends as well, i have been married for years but i also have a really good friend who i grew up with and as much as we don`t see one another all the time we know that if we needed each other then we would be there, we both work and have our own family so we are busy people but if she needs me or i need her then we drop what we`re doing and go to one another

Your partner should be your best friend, so you should therefore spend more time with him/her than anyone outside the relationship.

Well, I could do ok without a partner, but I'd always want friends.

To be honest, I think a partner is just a good friend really anyway.

I spend more time with my husband but my friends are important too. Not as important but important. Important enough not to allow him to get rid of them.

Partner, by all means! I've alienated quite a few friends but I don't care. My husband is my everything.
