No this is not the deficaincy of any vitamins. this is due to dehydration. Drink a lot of water. As nowadays, its winter, apply some Vaseline(petroleum Jelly) on the lips to keep them moist. This helps alot because if u do drink a lot of water in this time of season, u'll be going to the bathroom every 15 minutes :).

Chap Stick just coats your skin, it's petrolatum. Try using a good oil, like olive oil or Burts Bees chap sticks. Chap Stick is also addicting. So, once you use it, you will need to keep using it because your lips will rely on it. When you put lotion on your hands, try putting some on your lips too. Works much better than that Chap Stick crap.

First, don't use chapstick. Use "unpetroleum" the petroleum in most chapstick products only coat the lips but don't moisturize them. That could be the problem. You may also want an organic product, won't contain any harse products that could make your lips worse.
Also make sure you are hydrated properly. Drink water and also eat fruits to get added water in your system (peaches, apples, etc).

I would check the ingredients in the chapstick you're using. Some name brands contain chemicals that aggravate i/o heal (that way you use more and get hooked). Try an all natural brand like Burt's Bees that doesn't contain additives. Drink more water.

Maybe you're a mouth breather ... I am. I keep Chapstick with me, where ever I am. Ask your doctor what he might recommend for you. Mine said I had a deviated septum and recommended a nose job ... I don't have a big or broken nose ... I just usually can't breathe thru it. I opted for carrying the Chapstick!

You need to drink a lot of water. This happens to my boyfriend pretty often because all he drinks is pepsi. Try drinking a couple cglasses of water a day and see it it improves. People are not aware of how much your body needs water
