How many Lefties do you think were in the KKK in the deep, Southern Baptist South? How many Lefties segregated schools, created colored and white public bathrooms and put coloreds at the back of the buses. None. Racial tension started the day the first slave ship arrived in America.

I suspect Lefties and Righties WISH to solve whatever problem they are addressing.
Nonetheless, PC sucks. As does its opposite.

Interesting question. I'm no fan of political correctness, since it assumes that avoiding something will make it go away. And I do think that some rabblerousers benefit from controversy. On the other hand, "Lefties" certainly didn't invent racial tension. In the USA, for example, race riots (white and black) have been going on for at least a hundred years.

It is possible to live without causing undue offence, and to adjust your sense of humour to this less nasty way. After all, what is better, hatred or acceptance?
It is still acceptable to tell any kind of joke, but try to make it so that the butt of your joke is not in the room at the time - only if you know them well will they be happy to put up with your racist remarks.
While all generalisation has some probability or truth in it, you will always end up blaming/accusing the one individual who never does x of x, which can really piss him&her off.

If in case you haven't noticed PC is on it's way out. People are identifying and recognizing real enemies and calling it exactly what it is. i don't understand why we are handling the situations around the world with kid gloves when there are in fact real threats!
