I took my car to Precision tune to get the oil changed. 2 days later the engine locked up. Someone told me that since my car is so old with 220 miles on it that the 5w30 was too thin and thats what caused it to lock up? The car had oil in it...so it wasnt empty, yet it still locked up.

Do you think that could be a valid reason?

You don't give much info on this. What type of oil does the car require? Are you sure its oil in the oil pan and not tranny fluid or something else they put in by mistake? Did it overheat before locking up? I doubt its the oil, but it could seize from overheating also if it lost coolant or the water pump went.
