Like Eastenders, Coronation Street The Bill etc?

Thought I would ask since there are so many Americans who seem to be on this site. (and I don't know where else to ask)

Sure we can. I know my digital cable gets BBC America and there is some neat stuff on there. (OK OK I admit, my fav BBCA show is The F Word. I hate soaps).

Yes we can. In addition to BBCAmerica many if the local PBS (Public Broadcasting Corporation) stations carry British programming.
Much of the programs are not current, however. They are ones that have aired in Britain two or three years ago.

I enjoy watching most of them. They are very well produced. The only problem I have with British programming is that a few of the British comedies are difficult to understand. The actors talk so fast making it hard to follow what they are saying. But the dramas are excellent.

American TV trivia: For a while we also were receiving the Australian programs: "Kath & Kim", and "McLeods Daughters".

I'm not sure what ones that you can get now with the addition of BBC America to satelite viewers, but when I lived there five years ago, on terrestrial tv in the area I lived (western Pennsylvania) we could get Eastenders, we also got the comedies Red Dwarf, Upstairs Downstairs, and Are You Being Served

I am uncertain as to whether or not our neighbours to the north get to watch any programming from the U.K but do know that here in Canada there is much British television available. And I would like to thank you for some of these and the BBC of course. Really miss Benny Hill also. Do know that the States takes many of your tele shows and makes them as their own.
