His router must be wireless and your PC or Laptop must be wireless in order to pick up his Internet.
PC there are USB drives that will make it wireless so that you don't have to open the case to the tower.
Most Laptops, in the last few years, are already intergrated with wireless capabilities.

yes you need a wireless network card...depending on what kind of computer you have, they are about 30-50 dollars. Have him help you choose one and connect. good luck.
note: this is if he has a wireless router already. If he doesn't then either he needs one...he might be asking you to help pay for one. They are about 50 dollars.

You need a wireless router, these can be picked up quite cheaply then your brother will need to set up a wireless network on his p.c linking to yours.
You can find loads of info on how to do this on the internet, just google for the instructions.

Router. Will take one IP address and split it in subnets to other nodes on the workgroup, so that data from multiple machines can be sent/received with no collisions or problems..
