The Romans had a sophisticated approach to skincare. Creams were made using olive oil and beeswax and a whole host of weird ingredients. If you look up Ovid's works, he wrote an entire long poem on skincare called On Facial Treatments for Ladies giving recipes for face masks and skin creams. They used honey, barley, rose petals, fennel, beans, eggs and a whole load of other things.
Until late in the Roman period, soap was not used, (except to wash clothes) so olive oil was used for cleansing the skin, scraped off with a strigil. Creams as such were not invented until much later when Galen discovered that you could mix oil and rose water with spermaceti oil and get a cream; up until then, the "creams" were more what we call ointments.

Raw honey works incredibly well because not only is it natural, but it has anti-bacterial properties that works just as great and probably better than any lab-made cream in the market. I Highly recommend honey facial masks.

I want to know about roman skincare. There are some questions in details but can you answer them?

They used olive oil. The servant girls massaged olive oil into the skin then used a sharpish instrument to scrape of dead skin. The romans favoured baths, they'd soak themselves in public baths for ages, which softened up the skin. Chamomile water was used to wash the face so they could achieve brighter facial skin. I don't know anymore.

Cant give you much of an answer, but I read that a pot of cream was uncovered during a dig that had many ingredients we use in creams now!
