Had I encountered this question of urs 2-3 years back, i would hav said NO. But, as of now, my anwer is YES.. I m scared of death.. more because I would have to leave this beautiful world and all its lovely people and go.. which I DONT want to.. :)
Also, though it may sound funny, the idea of death brings in front of me all the sins I hav done (really minor ones.. like not talking 2 some1, being rude at som point of time etc etc ) and it gives me immense displeasure 2 think tht i would go away, with a heavier bag of sins then deeds.. :(
So, until the bag of deeds is heavier, i will ALWAYS b afraid of death!

The process of dying might be scary, but death itself, not scary.
When my 24 year old niece was dying of cancer she was terrified. She didn't want to die. At the end, she told her mom (my sister) that she wasn't scared any more. She said she was ready. She passed on peacefully early the next morning.

Not necessarily. Like when I'm riding a rollercoaster I get very scared, but if I think about when I will die when I get old like...70 or something I don't get so scared.

No, I don't believe that I do. I certainly am not afraid of being dead (or of death itself). I might have some fear (somewhere in my mind & heart) about the process of dying. I especially think of this when I remeber that my grandmothers (esp. my Maternal Grandmother), died of protracted illness. My Maternal Grandmother died 3 years after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. My Partenal Grandmother died after a few years in a nursing home & bouts of illness toward the end. when I die, I want it to be quick & painless (preferrably, in my sleep after a long & fruitful life!)

when i was younger i used to, but since having a near death experiance, i disscovered you cant compleetly prevent it, and in the end you will die, so why fear it. you have little controll over it.

i was 14 when i had the 'near death' experiance, i must say i dont live lie to the full, i dont live each day as if it was my last, but i live how i want to, and i have no fear of that.

most people fear only the unknown.

No. Nothing to be scared. Instead be happy to die... if you live long you will get bored.
