We came over on ships. You know those things that float and ply the oceans. Most came from Europe at various times in our history of settling America.
So, you are saying: By closing the border and disgracing the Statue of Liberty that all Americans are illegal. So, that means we all have to move?

No, that's foolish.
We actually need to have increased legal immigration quotas, because it is the gap between the number of jobs and the number of increased population due to births and legal immigration that caused the great influx of illegals. This is due to years of government incompetence and failure to address the growing issue.
There is no valid or rational reason to eliminate legal immigration. Immigrants made this country great.

no, I just think it's time to enforce the immigration policy. I think we need LEGAL immigration inthis country, not ILLEGAL immigration.
