What do you mean? Best in what? Best army? If so the United States has the best army in the world. China has the second best, mainly due to their massive population.

Over-all the United States will be the 'best' ranking country in all categories.

We have the most self made billionaires and millionaires in the U.S then anywhere else in the world. If another Country is going to attack you. We'll defend you.

The average american donates 5% of their paychecks to charities. Americans donated over 250$ Billion USD last year to charity organizations.

I could go on, if you'd like..

I'm not saying we're the best. I'm just saying we're one of the best.

Drat to anyone who says England is no longer great! She is one of the greatest of all time. If not for greatness, she would have been taken in WWII!
Posted in a pub decades ago, an old man told me about it:
"Fear knocked, faith prevailed" or something like that.
I see England, the USA, and the colonies among the top, at least as far as my studies of cultures, and openness to religious and other freedoms. In addition, I must mention that the combined strenght of Mother England and colonies combined with the USA can smoke any other country in terms of quality of life, military power, brains, and plain old heart!

Best country in terms of what? If you look at the list of what the UN refers to as ideal countries to live, you wouldn't find those same countries on the top 10 list of countries where the happiest people are.

I don't know because I have not visited them all, but as an American living in a democratic culture I am finding that this governmental form is not working for us and am now looking at the way other countries run their governments...a Parlimentary form of government is looking good right now....one which gives more people a voice. I guess this is not a good question to ask any American right now.

I think that most countries have their good and bad points. I am English but live in Greece. Both have advantages and disadvantages. I love the weather, the sea, the tradition and family life here, but I miss the Green grass and hills and woods in spring full of bluebells, I miss London town and shops and historical places, I miss my brother and sister and I miss a good old cup of tea.

You just have to try to make the most of what you have.
