Indeed someone with a Gmail account needs to send you an invitation. If you dont know anyone, just mail me with your current e-mail ID and I'll send you one.

To open an account in google mail,u need an invitation from a person who is having a google mail account.If u want that from me email me at v2vamsi@gmail.com

You need to be invited - I suspect it will be in beta stage even ten years from now!

Personally I'd say don't waste your time (have found it to e highly over rated). Have a look at Lycos Mail instead. Far more reliable, has more storage room than Gmail, and the only free email client I know of which has not attachment size limits. A far better product

Someone who already has a gmail account has to invite you then only you will be able to open an account,ask one of your friends who has a gmail account to invite you :)

Someone has to invite you. Check with your friends who have Gmail and ask them to invite you
