The body's normal temperature is 98.6 degrees. 99.7 degrees could be considered a low grade fever. Make sure to get lots of rest, drink lots of fluids, and take ibuprofen (Mortin, Advil) and you should feel better soon.

If you are talking about a human being's body temperature, then the answer is yes (albeit a low grade fever). The average body temperature for a human is 98.6.

If you are talking about a dog, cat, or pig, then the temperature of 99.7 is slightly under average and your answer is no, it is not a fever for a cat, dog or pig.

Since 98.6 F is "normal" for a human being, 99.7 is slightly above normal, and would be considered a low-grade fever. However, many illnesses have low-grade fever as a symptom, so any accompanying symptoms such as malaise, congestion, pain, etc., should be considered as well.

No, it isn't. That's within the normal range for body temperature. The well-known figure 98.6 is not carved in stone. A temperature of 100 is a borderline. Under most circumstances that's not fever, but under others it can be an indication of the beginning of a disease process.

Athletes can often reach a body temperature of 99.7 or higher during intense exercise, but as long as they pause now and then and take in proper amounts of liquids, this is rarely a problem.

99.7 C would be death
99.7 F is slightly hotter than usual, but nothing major. Just relax for a couple of days.
